Vysočany v polovině transformace: čtvrť ponechaná volné ruce trhu / komentovaná vycházka s Monikou Domincovou ze spolku Rokytka žije a Annou Vinklárkovou z organizace Arnika.

V diskuzi vystoupí zástupci a zástupkyně tří organizací ze tří visegrádských zemí - Slovenska, Maďarska a Polska. Košická organizace Spolka představí některé z aktuálních slovenských příkladů nového developmentu a související výzvy v kontextu dostupného bydlení. Maďarská Aliance pro kolaborativní development (Szakiszovetseg) z Budapešti představí příklady participativních bytových projektů, které realizuje a spravuje. Varšavské hnutí Miasto jest nasze ukáže svoji mapu prázdných městských budov a jakým způsobem ji využívá v advokacii za dostupnější bydlení v polské metropoli. Navazovat bude společná moderovaná debata.
Panelová diskuse se uskuteční v hybridním formátu v angličtině se zajištěným simultánním překladem. Procházka proběhne v češtině s možností anglického překladu.

Come to a summer walk through the new district of Vysočany with a follow-up international panel discussion.

Vysočany in mid-transformation: a district left to the free hand of the market - Guided walk with Monika Domincová from Rokytka žije and Anna Vinklárková from Arnika
The former industrial zone is rapidly growing into a residential area - without services and public space. During the walk we will see how the development without coordination turns out: predominantly residential construction instead of the promised mixed neighbourhood, uncoordinated projects around the Kolbenova metro station, closed courtyards and sidewalks, parks and playgrounds in private ownership.
We will explain why, despite the recommendations of experts, high-rise buildings are growing chaotically and how the dominant elevated garages affect the appearance of the district. We will see several industrial objects, one of which is still in its original use and not so well known. Locals are pushing for their preservation and public use. Come and find out what is happening in Vysočany, what can still be changed - and how much effort it takes.
The walk ends at the Vysočany library, where a panel discussion will follow.
International panel discussion: housing and construction in Central Europe
Representatives of three organisations from three Visegrad countries - Slovakia, Hungary and Poland - will take part in the discussion. Spolka, association from Košice will present some of the current Slovak examples of new development and related challenges in the context of affordable housing. The Hungarian Alliance for Collaborative Development (Szakiszovetseg) from Budapest will present examples of participatory housing projects that it implements and manages. Warsaw's Miasto jest nasze movement will show its map of empty urban buildings and how it uses it in advocacy for more affordable housing in the Polish capital. This will be followed by a joint moderated debate.
The walk will be held in Czech with the possibility of English translation. The panel discussion will take place in a hybrid format in English with simultaneous translation provided.
